A group on Facebook Massmediaforum disseminate information about 57 years old woman Mrs Elizabeth Yamoah that successful completing her Junior High School Education at Agona Odoben Pressby JHS.

It was written on the platform that ‘At age of 57 you sat to write your final examination with joy and determination. May you come out flying colors you await your BECE results’.

Reactions went viral on social media because it was a beautiful moments for Mrs Elizabeth Yamoah as she determined to venture into education despite the fact that she is an elderly woman.

The 57 years woman Mrs Elizabeth Yamoah share joy and happiness with her colleagues at Agona Odoben pressby JHS on that blissful day the examination was completed.

Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, says it is better to lose power and gain honour. The former President announced this on Friday in a Facebook post.

He wrote “Nobody’s ambition is worth the blood of any citizen. It is better to gain honour at the cost of losing power than to gain power at the cost of losing honour.

“At any point in time, the power of love should matter more than the love of power.

This is my philosophy. I have lived it. It has brought great peace to both my beloved nation and I. And I recommend it to all leaders facing challenging situations, either in government, or at the polls, or even in their dealings with fellow political actors.”

China temporarily restrains Nigeria due to codvid-19 fears

China has temporarily restrained entry of Nigerians into the country due to covid-19 worries.

The Chinese Embassy in Nigeria on Thursday, raised concerns over the resurfacing of the corona virus. The embassy made it clear that they would no longer issue certified health declaration form for non Chinese citizens residing in the country.

According to the statement “Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, China has decided to temporarily suspend entry into China by non-Chinese nationals in Nigeria holding visas or residence permits still valid at the time of this announcement.”

People on diplomatic, courtesy, missions and staffs working on a planes, ships and ships are exempted in this new restriction and those needing to travel to china for emergency reasons will be granted visa.

According to National Centre for Disease Control corona virus cases stood at 63,328, death,1155 and recoveries, 59,675.

Recall, Corona Virus broke out first in China, but has managed the virus effectively, this new development is a precautionary measure to stop the spread of the virus into China.

FRSC set to carry Guns-Rep

The House of Representatives in Abuja on Thursday disclosed in the corps 2020 budget performance and 2021 budget defence, that the federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) will carry guns for them to discharge their duties effectively.

Mr Akinfolarin Mayowa stated clearly that the 1992 Act of FRSC allowed the corps to carry firearms. He pleaded that the act should be implemented to enable the FRSC to discharge their duties with ease and effectively.

He added that committee will meet with Boss Mustapha, the secretary to the government of the federation to discuss this issue with him, also write to the president pleading with him to implement the law.

Contributing, a member of the committee said that the committee would also seek audience with the Inspector General of the Police, Mohammed Adamu to seek his support too.

Boboye Oyeyemi, FRSC Corps Marshall, lamented there were several scenarios where motorist threatened corps members on duty, the firearm will serve as a protection for them to checkmate activities of mischievous road users.
