FG apologizes for asking Nigerians to re-register their bank information

The FG Has taken to their twitter to apologise to Nigerians for asking them to re-register their Bank details

The FG previously asked that all Nigerian should provide their self certification forms and failure to do so means loss of their accounts.

However in a tweet on Friday, the government apologised for misinformation.

ASUU, FG clashes over N30billion allowance

The Academic Staff Union of Universities and the Federal  Government had a meeting on Wednesday for the third time which ended in a gridlock, as the two parties failed to reach an agreement on the payment platform for salaries and benefits.

Asuu insist that the federal government should pay 30billion to the union and her members alone, the federal Government responding to this said that the request was not feasible. The government they are willing to pay N30billion to all unions in universities, not ASUU alone, and also willing to pay another N20billion as revitalization fund.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige said “This government is not against revitalization but this government says that because of the dire economic situation occasioned by COVID-19, we cannot really pay in the N110b which they are demanding for revitalization.

“We offered N20b as revitalization fund. On Earned Academic Allowances, the government offered N30b to all the unions in the universities, making it N50b altogether.

“ASUU is saying that the N30b should be for lecturers alone, irrespective of the fact that there are three other unions. So there is a little problem there. We don’t have any money to offer apart from this N30b.”

Ngige added  that if the crisis continue, the Federal government will be forced to take legal action against the union, if they insist on their strike and refuse to take their offer.

Kanye West Admits defeat in the 2020 US elections

Kanye West threw in the towel on his presidential run in the 2020 election and hinted at another long-shot bid four years from now — though he didn’t get many votes this time.

Kanye West made the concession in a tweet after appearing on the ballot in 12 states in the presidential election between Democratic nominee Joe Biden and President Donald Trump.

“WELP,”   West said in the tweet. “KANYE 2024.”

Kanye West appeared on the ballot in 12 states and notched more than a thousand votes in all of the contests, according to preliminary tallies by The Associated Press.

In Colorado, West got nearly 6,000 votes in a state that went to Biden. In Vermont, another state that went to Biden, Kanye West got more than 1,200 votes, according to the tally.

In Arkansas, he got 3,979 votes; in Idaho, he got 2,309 votes; in Iowa, he got 3,179 votes; in Kentucky, he got 6,259 votes; in Louisiana, he got 4,837 votes; in Minnesota, he got 6,796; in Mississippi, he got 3,009 votes; in Oklahoma, he got 5,587 votes; in Tennessee, he got 10,188 votes; and in Utah, he got 4,053 votes, according to the preliminary tallies.

Kanye West announced earlier Tuesday that he voted for himself, the first time he cast a ballot in a US presidential election.
