SARS officer killed by hoodlums in Rivers State

There was disarray in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State after some hoodlums reportedly attacked and killed a policeman in the community on Thursday.

The deceased, whose identity had yet to be ascertained, was attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad headquarters in Port Harcourt.

Information gathered revealed that the incident happened on Wednesday around 9.30pm after the victim, who was on duty, took permission from his superior officer to buy food.

His corpse was reportedly dumped on a bush path.

A source who spoke on the incident noted that the hoodlums were members of the Indigenous People of Biafra who came from Abia State through a border community.

The Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the incident, adding that details of the attack were still sketchy.

Omoni, however, added that the state Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan, had ordered a manhunt for the assailants.

Kanye West Admits defeat in the 2020 US elections

Kanye West threw in the towel on his presidential run in the 2020 election and hinted at another long-shot bid four years from now — though he didn’t get many votes this time.

Kanye West made the concession in a tweet after appearing on the ballot in 12 states in the presidential election between Democratic nominee Joe Biden and President Donald Trump.

“WELP,”   West said in the tweet. “KANYE 2024.”

Kanye West appeared on the ballot in 12 states and notched more than a thousand votes in all of the contests, according to preliminary tallies by The Associated Press.

In Colorado, West got nearly 6,000 votes in a state that went to Biden. In Vermont, another state that went to Biden, Kanye West got more than 1,200 votes, according to the tally.

In Arkansas, he got 3,979 votes; in Idaho, he got 2,309 votes; in Iowa, he got 3,179 votes; in Kentucky, he got 6,259 votes; in Louisiana, he got 4,837 votes; in Minnesota, he got 6,796; in Mississippi, he got 3,009 votes; in Oklahoma, he got 5,587 votes; in Tennessee, he got 10,188 votes; and in Utah, he got 4,053 votes, according to the preliminary tallies.

Kanye West announced earlier Tuesday that he voted for himself, the first time he cast a ballot in a US presidential election.

Return my offerings man tells church

Dishon Kinyanjui Kinuthia a Kenyan man has told his former church which he attended from 1998 to 2017 to return his offering or face serious consequences.

Dishon shared the letter he wrote to the church and seriously warned the church to return his offering to him, he said that he is willing to go any length to get his offering back.

Dishon accused his former church Revival Mission Church for allegedly intimidating him, and collecting offering from him under duress.

He wrote ”I hereby demand reimbursement of all the monies I contributed to the church while I was a member from the year 1997 to 2018. This is approximately KSh 58,000 from my estimated calculations. I confirm that the contributions were not voluntary and blame this on undue influence, duress and intimidation(if you do not give offerings you will go to hell). “Kindly deposit the amount in my bank account enclosed with this letter and not later than November 31, 2020. Failure to pay the stipulated amount before teh said date shall prompt legal proceedings.”
