Bray Wyatt def. The Miz via pinfall after hitting Sister Abigail. A Miz line in his earlier promo about Wyatt being a “crazed and delusional madman” led to Wyatt laying out the challenge for the match during a Firefly Fun House match. Miz tried to apologize before the match, saying there was no good reason to have the match and instead find a peaceful solution, such as working together to take out Orton in the main event. Alexa Bliss came out from the back and said, “He says no.” Nikki Cross then came out and told Bliss she needed to leave Wyatt, only to be slapped and attacked by Bliss. Morrison got involved on the outside multiple times, but was eventually attacked by Alexa Bliss, with the pair tumbling over the ringside barricade. Miz tried to capitalize on the distraction but was taken out by a Sister Abigail for the finish, effectively removing Miz from the equation for the main event. (WWE Raw)

WWE Championship — Drew McIntyre def. Randy Orton (c) via pinfall to win the title. McIntyre had a new entrance, walking to the ring wearing a kilt and stabbing a giant claymore sword into the entrance ramp — both were given to him earlier in the night by Sheamus, who said he got them from McIntyre’s mother and that they were family heirlooms. McIntyre dominated early, forcing Orton to decide to walk off and take the 10 count, but Adam Pearce interrupted to say the match now featured no count outs or disqualifications. Orton quickly brought a chair into the equation, using the weapon to take over. Orton would continue to take shortcuts, using the ring steps and a thumb to the eye as McIntyre was on his comeback. McIntyre was able to hit a Future Shock DDT for a two count and then knocked Orton from the ring apron through a table set up at ringside for another near fall. After more back-and-forth action, McIntyre hit the Claymore to win back the championship.

Survivor Series team issues continue
Asuka, Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke def. Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler & Lana via submission after Asuka put Lana in the Asuka Lock. Before the match, Baszler and Jax told Lana — who was the one who requested the match — that she was not to tag in under any circumstance. Baszler did her stomp to the arm on Rose on the ring steps early in the match. Baszler locked Asuka in the Kirifuda Clutch but Lana tagged herself in and hit a kick for a two count. Asuka then quickly locked in the Asuka lock for the finish. This, of course, meant Jax followed up the end of the match by putting Lana through the announce table with a Samoan drop. Later, as Brooke was giving a backstage update on Rose’s health, she was attacked by Reckoning and stomped into some equipment crates. Rose and Brooke were announced as now being unable to compete at Survivor Series, with Peyton Royce and Lacey Evans announced as their replacements. (WWE Raw)

Retribution def. Riddle, Keith Lee, Braun Strowman & Sheamus via pinfall when Mustafa Ali rolled up Riddle. The match was put together by AJ Styles as an attempt to build team chemistry, something Ali seemed to take issue with, claiming his group is not a collection of pawns and he would simply wait to see Team Raw fall apart. The issues within Team Raw immediately bubbled to the surface with Strowman and Sheamus getting into it before it spilled over into an argument with Styles over his claim to be the team’s captain. Lee had a big burst of offense after a hot tag, setting his team up to take over, but Sheamus used a blind tag to get in the ring, Strowman did the same seconds later and then Sheamus stopped Strowman from hitting the powerslam. This led to an argument among the team, allowing Ali to roll up Riddle for the win.

Raw Tag Team Championship — The New Day (c) def. The Hurt Business via pinfall to retain the titles. This was a fantastic tag match with everyone going full speed and some very convincing near falls both ways before Xavier Woods pinned Shelton Benjamin after hitting Daybreak. That cements New Day for the Survivor Series match with SmackDown tag champs The Street Profits. (WWE Raw)
Jeff Hardy confronted Elias in the locker room after Elias had plastered the backstage area with “wanted posters” featuring Hardy and the car crash that took Elias out of action months ago. Hardy insisted he’d been proven innocent and threatened to do worse that hit Elias with a car if he didn’t back down.
Asuka was interviewed backstage and said she was looking forward to beating SmackDown women’s champion Sasha Banks at Survivor Series. (WWE Raw)

Drew McIntyre def. Jey Uso via pinfall after a Claymore. Uso came to the ring with a look that seemed split between intensity and fear and was quickly on the defensive as McIntyre taunted him and told him to prove himself. Uso eventually fought back, but he couldn’t match up with the power and speed of McIntyre, who began to throw Uso around the ring with a series of belly-to-belly suplexes. Reigns’ music hit and the universal champion walked to the ring with Paul Heyman, providing a distraction that allowed Uso to ram McIntyre into the ring post and the steps. Uso went to get in the ring, saying, “I’m going to beat him,” but Reigns stopped him and said, “I don’t care if you beat him. Make him understand.” Uso got in the ring and tried to pummel McIntyre, but was quickly hit with a Claymore for the finish. The show ended after a brief staredown between McIntyre and Reigns. The Mysterio family finally accepts Murphy
Rey Mysterio def. Seth Rollins via pinfall in a No Holds Barred Match with a 619. The whole Mysterio clan was outside the ring on one side, with Murphy on the other, seemingly fully behind Rollins once again. Rollins would hit a powerbomb from the first rope through a table set up in the ring for a near fall. Rollins pulled the rubber stopper off the leg of a chair and tried to shove it in Mysterio’s eye, but Dominik Mysterio pulled him from the ring, a distraction that let Mysterio hit a dropkick to drive the chair into Rollins’ face. Murphy jumped in the ring to help Rollins before handing him the chair. As Rollins was about to attack Mysterio, Murphy turned and hit him with a jumping knee. As Rollins yelled at Murphy between the ropes, Mysterio tried to hit a 619 but slipped in the process, so they set the spot up again for him to hit the move and a frog splash for the win. After the match, Mysterio told Murphy to get in the ring. He asked Murphy if he wanted his approval to date Aalyah and shook his hand. Mysterio then told Dominik to do the same, which he did. The family then embraced Murphy as he finally showed that he was done with Rollins for good. Later, Rollins approached Adam Pearce and demanded he be given a match with Murphy, saying he would destroy him.

Intercontinental Championship — Sami Zayn (c) def. Apollo Crews via count out to retain the title. Zayn was upset he only found out about his title defense an hour before the show. The two battled outside the ring when the ring apron came off. Zayn used the ropes along the ring to tie up Crews’ foot before getting back in the ring to beat the count while Crews was stuck outside.
Carmella attacked Sasha Banks for the second week in a row. Banks was cutting an in-ring promo about how she proved the doubters wrong by retaining the SmackDown women’s title last week in her rematch with Bayley when Carmella’s music hit and she attacked the champ from behind, laying her out.
Otis def. Dolph Ziggler via pinfall with a Vader Bomb. Ziggler and Robert Roode made fun of Otis for eating three plates of food in catering during a backstage segment. Otis was handling Ziggler easily but Roode interfered, allowing Ziggler to hit a Zig Zag for a two count. Otis quickly came back to win the short match.
Chad Gable offered Otis a chance to be mentored. Gable, after complimenting Otis on his victory, said Otis needed to unlock his “inner alpha” and gave him a flyer. (Friday night Smackdown)

She was taken out of the match quickly after suffering an apparent injury before Morgan qualified for the Survivor Series team by pinning Tamina.

Wednesday Night NXT action 11th November 2020

Johnny Gargano vs. Leon Ruff (North American Championship)

Ruff came out smiling, and Gargano shook his hand before the bell. He then kicked Ruff in the face and stomped a mudhole in him. The cruiserweight got in a few shots before Gargano threw him into the steel steps.

Damian Priest showed up in the crowd, and the distraction almost led to Ruff pinning him with a roll-up. Johnny Wrestling launched him into the middle turnbuckle, but Ruff managed to take him down with a crucifix to get a shocking upset victory. Priest laughed as the ref presented him with the title.

(Wednesday Night NXT)

Santos Escobar vs. Jake Atlas (Cruiserweight Championship)

Before the show, Atlas attacked Joaquin Wilde in the parking lot. Escobar granted him a title match in an effort to get him in the ring for some revenge.

He hit a knee to the body right away, but Atlas quickly recovered and sent him out of the ring with a kick to the head. The champion returned the favor with his own kick before he brought him down to the mat.

He punished the challenger with a submission before he dropped him on his face. Atlas was forced to fend off an attack from Raul Mendoza and Wilde at ringside, but he was still able to hit a springboard blockbuster for a near-fall.

We returned from a break to see Escobar in firm control. He hit a nice hurricanrana on the top turnbuckle followed by a frog splash for a two-count. Atlas almost missed a suicide dive when his foot hooked the rope. (Wednesday Night NXT)

Atlas attempted his signature cartwheel DDT, but Escobar caught him and hit his finisher for the pin and the win.

Raquel Gonzalez vs. Xia Li Is Called Off

Last week, Xia Li requested a match against Raquel Gonzalez. This week, Boa came out and tried to cancel the fight on Li’s behalf for some unknown reason. Gonzalez did not take this well and proceeded to beat the life out of Boa.

She left the arena and some strange graphics came on the LED screens. An older gentleman approached Boa and handed him a letter while making a black mark on his hand. This was all very ominous and mysterious. (Wednesday Night NXT)

There wasn’t much to grade here, but the segment was worth noting. Gonzalez looked good as a monster, and this new mystery with Boa and Li could be intriguing if done right.

Candice LeRae vs. Toni Storm

After we saw a replay of LeRae running over Shotzi Blackheart’s tank in her car, The Poison Pixie made her way out to battle Storm.

They kept things technical during the first few minutes. Both women used several takedowns, holds and counters before either of them attempted a strike.

Storm missed a hip strike against the steel steps and went down as we went to a commercial. We returned with LeRae hitting a backstabber. Storm avoided a moonsault and leveled her with a head-butt that sent both women to the mat. (Wednesday Night NXT)

LeRae was able to steal the win by using the ropes for leverage during the pin. Storm went after her, but the masked woman who interfered at Halloween Havoc made the save. Blackheart ran down to even the odds but ended up being taken out, too. Indi Hartwell revealed herself to be the attacker.

Grade: B

Dexter Lumis vs. Timothy Thatcher

Timothy Thatcher and Dexter Lumis met for a match after a backstage incident earlier in the show. Lumis immediately hit a Thesz press and sent Thatcher out of the ring to recover.

Thatcher eventually took him down and stretched him in a bow and arrow submission. Lumis broke free and hit a few hard crossface strikes. He planted Thatch with a spinebuster and followed up with a standing dropkick. (Wednesday Night NXT)

After a break, Thatcher hit a double underhook suplex for a trio of near-falls. Lumis hit a nice side suplex to give himself a little time to recover. He started unloading with punches before he climbed to the top rope. Thatch tried to cut him off with a superplex, but the artist pushed him down and hit a senton bomb.

Cameron Grimes showed up, and the distraction led to Thatcher getting the pin. Grimes proceeded to attack Lumis after the match.

Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan vs. Breezango (NXT Tag Titles)

McAfee and Dunne accompanied the champions to the ring and delivered a promo declaring his group as the best four-man stable in wrestling history.

Tyler Breeze and Fandango skipped the flashy entrance this week and went right to the ring. Burch and Fandango fought on one side of the ring while Burch and Breeze brawled on the other side.

Once things got under control, both teams had bursts of offense that prevented either duo from dominating for too long.

Drake Maverick ran down to get revenge for Killian Dain, but Dunne took him out first. McAfee helped his team cheat and retain the tag titles to end the show.

“I feel like that should be addressed. We can all say ‘So and so will be good or better’, that’s just part of the game. But to say someone has been spoken to and is coming in imminently, when it’s not true, I think that’s out of order.”
